Double Feature: Ashlee and Brandon Wedding

We are excited to announce that one of our events has a spread in Real Weddings Magazine, Summer 2015. The reception and outdoor ceremony was photographed by the talented Lori Makabe Photography. At Viaggio Estate and Winery, the couple decorated with a soft palette of pinks, white and champagne.

Our blog post would not be complete without a shout out to the amazing vendors that made Ashlee and Brandon’s vision a reality.

Our photo booth was one of the evening’s highlights as guests posed with props and received a personalized wedding favor. Ashlee worked with our Graphics Department to design a gold monogram and filigree-patterned background for the prints. A repeated backdrop with the couple’s names added the final touch.

Ceci New York: Ty and Khaleb

Ceci New York is one of the most amazing stylists and custom invitation artists in the industry! We love how she captures the essence of each event that she works with. Newlyweds Ty and Khaleb used Ceci’s boarding pass invites to complement their travel-themed wedding. Read all about what inspired the event design in Ceci’s Style Magazine, Issue 213: Destination Chic.

The colors used on the invites tied in with the couple’s white and gold theme. Neutrals showed off the beautiful private estate venue in Brentwood, CA and gave an elegant, classy feel to the day. The details were coordinated by Aquafuzion and photographed by Brett Munoz.

The flourishes from Ty and Khaleb’s program went perfectly with our Gatsby-inspired print design. All the details were tied together and guests got to take home a gorgeous, personalized wedding favor.

Jennifer Fujikawa: Barbara and Mitch Wedding

Barbara and Mitch took their engagement shoot at Half Moon Bay on the Northern California coast. They wore two outfits for two natural backdrops and their gallery, by Jennifer Fujikawa, was featured on Ceremony Blog. See more images here!

The bee is an important symbol for the couple so they incorporated it into their engagement photos, on Barbara’s Toms, and in the ceremony, on the letterpress invites. We love the bright yellow accent color.

But the festivities weren’t complete without their three dogs making their debut in the photo shoot, the table decor and even molded as part of the wedding cake! See more of Jennifer’s bright, beautiful photos in her Portfolio.

The bride and groom posed in our photo booth with the best props of all – themselves! Our Party Props upgrade was supplemented by enlarged DIY photographs of Barbara and Mitch’s faces. We love a couple with a sense of humor.

Race for the Cure 2015 Recap From Los Angeles

This year’s Race for the Cure, put on by Susan G. Komen Los Angeles County, was A-MAZ-ING. It was great to see so many participants come together at Dodger Stadium in remembrance of loved ones, celebrations for survivors and hope for a cure for breast cancer.

Pink Shutter's 5% Promise | How we Give Back to the Community

Pink Shutter had different stations set up around the grounds where attendees could walk on the pink carpet, take photos in our booth, take home free customized prints and record animated GIFs.

All of the services throughout the event were donated along with over $20,000 for the Susan G. Komen organization as part of our 5% Promise. Read more about our dedication to community.

We were awed at the height of Lakers’ teammates Jordan Hill and Ryan Kelly and humbled by the energy that Blake Leeper brought to our booth kiosk. The American Bladerunner star and Paralympian shared photos from his day on Facebook. See some of our favorites below.

Taking advantage of SoCal’s scenery once again, Meryl and Derek wed at Chateau Le Dome at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu. The outdoor venue played perfectly into their color scheme of green, peach and gold.
