THE Pastel Dress Party 2015

Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser

Pretty in pink? Always. Raising funds for a breast cancer cure? Even better.

The Gladstone Hotel turned into a bride-to-be’s dream for THE Pastel Dress Party. Partnering with Pink the Town, a Canadian-based online magazine and event company, Pastel Dress Party hosted amazing night that doubled as a breast cancer awareness event making it the perfect night to grab your girlfriends and hit the town.

Local vendors from Toronto came out to support the event and were invited to showcase their expertise and products to all the attending brides-to-be.

The main event was the fashion show unveiling the Pastel Dress Party’s new collection of bridesmaid dresses and beautiful wedding gowns from local vendors.

After a wonderful evening of treats, shopping, makeovers and a fashion show, the night wrapped up with a silent auction. The items were graciously donated from all the local vendors and sponsors that participated at the event; which included everything from stunning statement necklaces, wedding photography packages to gift baskets. The event was a great success and all of the proceeds from the auction and the event went to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada!

Stormye + Ryan

Congrats to the Puffers! Their wedding day was rustic-meets-elegance at its finest. Subtle pink details are the best.

Get Ahead with our Holiday Pinterest Finds

Christmas in July has come and gone, but we are still in the festive mood prepping for the holiday season. Book a photo booth for your office party, winter wedding and other seasonal gatherings. Your calendar will thank you for thinking ahead. Feast your eyes on our collection of Pins that remind us why we love the combination of snow, sparkles and friends (because what could be better?)…

The Christmas season doesn’t mean your space has to be an explosion of red and green. Tone down the color palette and find sophistication in off-white, mint and metallics.

We love the heartwarming traditions that wintertime brings, like drinking hot chocolate, playing in the snow and attending a local production of The Nutcracker.
California does Christmas a little different. Maybe it’ll be 50°, maybe it’ll be 80°. Either way, deck the palm trees and get these beachy vibes.
Gift-giving, decorating, hosting… all perfect occasions to bust out your DIY.
[/fusion_builder_column]
During Hanukkah, we’re thinking a modern touch could make this year’s tablescape a winner. Experiment with different textures and shades of blue to make the perfect vignette.
Friends and family are the reason we celebrate, the things we celebrate. Ok, maybe sequins too. Spread the joy by incorporating winter wonderland, fairy tale forests and NYE glam into your everyday.
You know it’s coming, the annual holiday office party. Wear something sparkly, but still work appropriate, bring a gift your coworkers will love and decorate the place to the nines. The last step is simply to enjoy the festivities and celebrate all you’ve accomplished this year.

Real Wedding: Natalie & Hampton

We are so glad we got to be a part of this Christmas wedding that is all the joy you’d expect from a holiday celebration (cue confetti send off). The December vibe was incorporated in some literal ways, like their pine cone adorned tree, but mostly in classic, timeless details, like green floor-length bridesmaids’ dresses. White on white florals by Stems of Dallas decorated the ceremony at the grand Highland Park United Methodist Church followed by a reception at the Dallas Country Club. Celebrate Life Outside the Box

Skybox Takes Flight

featured on the Skynotes Blog by Ngoc Nguyen Lay

Skybox Event Productions Logo
Do you know what’s great about riding in a hot air balloon? Every moment is magical. It doesn’t matter if you go somewhere high or low, imaginable or unimaginable, because viewing the world from the open sky makes anything feel possible.

Skybox has gone through a lot of changes from the inception of the idea. It had started back when I was in grad school. I had no idea where I wanted to take my business, but I knew I wanted to start something that I could call my own. My original logo and concept was based upon the intention to run a catering business. Skybox has evolved so much further than that.

I worked with Nikki from Akula Kreative to rebrand the company

[see logo above] in the Spring of 2012. The new logo was inspired by my hot air balloon photo shoot, and represents that Skybox is going to keep going up and the sky is the limit.

With Skybox Events, we do our best to make every moment magical, both for ourselves and for the client. I’ve seen plenty of “impossible” happen through Skybox; starting a company, growing into needing an office, writing a book, and so much more. This is why I chose the hot air balloon. Because I want to help others see all their impossible ideas become magical realities.

Skybox is taking the next step in their adventure and a rebrand is in the works again in 2016. A new website will be launched soon! Stay tuned to our social media pages to see the reveal.

Real Weddings – Skybox + Pink Shutter

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Skybox on two weddings in the Los Angeles / Orange County area. Ngoc was part of the bridal party for the first feature, Jannie and Tom. The couple created a sophisticated, cohesive look to their big day using their monogram, a navy, gray and hot pink color palette and a chandelier motif (with a real chandelier hung for the outdoor ceremony!). See more photos on the Skynotes blog.

James & Thao hosted a bold, timeless wedding in red, black and white. Attention was paid to every detail with their monogram appearing on the menus, the floor lights, the photo prints and their photo booth backdrop. A Pink Shutter video booth captured heart felt messages from the couple’s guests. So sweet!

Whitney and Daniel’s Moody Romance

Having worked with William Kim Photography in the past, we knew Whitney and Daniel’s photos would be dreamy. View the highlights below and then enjoy the full gallery. Their venue was the expansive 440 Seaton in DTLA. Besides having amazing rooftop views of the city center, the interior of exposed brick and wood beams gives that perfect industrial cool vibe. What a beautiful contrast to the softness of Whitney’s satin dress and the rustic table decor.

DTLA is Seen From the Venue Rooftop

The #dacronins brought on the fun during their reception. A food truck served up churros for those with a sweet tooth (why stop with wedding cake)? Our photo booth joined in thanks to their purchases of a limited-time Gilt City offer. Whitney and Daniel made sure their guests had props with which to pose and custom prints to remember the occasion.

We love when the happy couple finds time to enjoy the booth. They look happy as can be. Congrats Whitney and Daniel Cronin!! <3
