Skybox Takes Flight

Do you know what’s great about riding in a hot air balloon? Every moment is magical. It doesn’t matter if you go somewhere high or low, imaginable or unimaginable, because viewing the world from the open sky makes anything feel possible.

Skybox has gone through a lot of changes from the inception of the idea. It had started back when I was in grad school. I had no idea where I wanted to take my business, but I knew I wanted to start something that I could call my own. My original logo and concept was based upon the intention to run a catering business. Skybox has evolved so much further than that.

I worked with Nikki from Akula Kreative to rebrand the company

[see logo above] in the Spring of 2012. The new logo was inspired by my hot air balloon photo shoot, and represents that Skybox is going to keep going up and the sky is the limit.

With Skybox Events, we do our best to make every moment magical, both for ourselves and for the client. I’ve seen plenty of “impossible” happen through Skybox; starting a company, growing into needing an office, writing a book, and so much more. This is why I chose the hot air balloon. Because I want to help others see all their impossible ideas become magical realities.

Skybox is taking the next step in their adventure and a rebrand is in the works again in 2016. A new website will be launched soon! Stay tuned to our social media pages to see the reveal.

Real Weddings – Skybox + Pink Shutter

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Skybox on two weddings in the Los Angeles / Orange County area. Ngoc was part of the bridal party for the first feature, Jannie and Tom. The couple created a sophisticated, cohesive look to their big day using their monogram, a navy, gray and hot pink color palette and a chandelier motif (with a real chandelier hung for the outdoor ceremony!). See more photos on the Skynotes blog.

James & Thao hosted a bold, timeless wedding in red, black and white. Attention was paid to every detail with their monogram appearing on the menus, the floor lights, the photo prints and their photo booth backdrop. A Pink Shutter video booth captured heart felt messages from the couple’s guests. So sweet!

Ceci New York Gold Logo

4.20.2014 | Los Angeles

Ceci New York is one of the most amazing stylists and custom invitation artists in the industry! We love how she captures the essence of each event that she works with. Newlyweds Ty and Khaleb used Ceci’s boarding pass invites to complement their travel-themed wedding. Read all about what inspired the event design in Ceci’s Style Magazine, Issue 213: Destination Chic.

Gold and White Jet Set Invitation Suite

The colors used on the invites tied in with the couple’s white and gold theme. Neutrals showed off the beautiful private estate venue in Brentwood, CA and gave an elegant, classy feel to the day. The details were coordinated by Aquafuzion and photographed by Brett Munoz.

Vintage Themed Events for Fall

Los Angeles Pink Shutter Logo
September 2014

As the fall season brings on cooler weather and deeper, richer colors, we find many events looking back to the early 20th century for vintage inspiration. The following two weddings are examples of this trend. Read the details and view beautiful photographs of Kathleen & Jimmy’s Art Deco soiree and Wade & Florence’s journey to newlywed bliss.

Both events booked our Custom Graphic Upgrade to tie in their photo print design with their wedding theme. Our Graphics Department used the invitations to match colors, fonts and design elements. The result, a special, personalized gift for all the wedding attendees.
